5/18/14 NEIGHBORHOOD GROUP PICNIC AT TONGVA PARK!!!

 Sunday, May 18 – Citywide neighborhood organizations picnic – 11 AM to 4 PM – Tongva Park

All the city-recognized neighborhood organizations (Mid-City Neighbors, Friends of Sunset Park, North of Montana Association, Northeast Neighbors, Ocean Park Association, Pico Neighborhood Association, and the Wilshire-Montana Neighborhood Coalition) are sponsoring a citywide picnic on Sunday, May 18th, in Tongva Park (between Main Street and Ocean Avenue, south of the freeway and across from City Hall).

The picnic is intended as a way for our residents to get to know another while having a good time in our newest park. We’ll be gathering in the west end, by the amphitheater and Old Morty (the largest Moreton Bay fig tree in the park). Plan to bring your own food and beverages. There are numerous picnic tables throughout the park, and restrooms are located at the web end. 

Parking is available on Main Street, in the Civic Center Parking Structure (entrance from 4th Street at Civic Center Drive, between Pico and the freeway), and across the freeway at Santa Monica Place. BBB #7 (Pico Blvd.) and #8 (Ocean Park Blvd.) also pass close to Tongva Park.
