May 6, 2013 -- Residents Pack Civic Over Downtown Specific Plan

Santa Monica residents filled the East Wing of the Civic Auditorium for a special Planning Commission workshop on the Downtown Specific Plan.  Unlike previous DSP Workshops, this one allowed dozens of residents the chance to speak directly to City Council members, the Planning Commission, city planners and a crowd of hundreds. The DSP includes "Opportunity Sites" which would allow developments without limits on height or density. Several members of Santa Monica Mid City Neighbors spoke at the workshop.
