May 10, 2013 - Community Leaders Plot Civic's Future

An Urban Land Use Panel is recommending a wide-ranging menu of ideas toward the creation of a new vision for the future of the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.  The panel of experts gave a presentation Friday, May 10th, at the Main Library, which was attended by dozens of community and business leaders and Santa Monica city officials.  The panel's key findings include strong community support for saving the Civic and the need to consider the entire,10-acre site as a whole with a revitalized Civic Auditorium as the centerpiece of a whole new, economically sustainable  cultural campus.  Click the following link to read Daily Press article.
